About DavidDavid Auwen (Gunnery Sergeant, USMC) was a military dependant who moved to Chesterfield Township when he was 11 years old. He has called Northern Macomb County home for 18 years and has a proven and demonstrated connection and attachment to the community of the 32nd District with friends and family stretching from the southern portions of Chesterfield to the northern corner of Kimball Township. A graduate of Anchor Bay High School, Dave has worked hard and completed his Bachelors degree and will soon complete a Masters degree all while serving on active duty in the Marine Corps for nearly 11 years and completing two combat tours to Iraq in 2003 and 2004. Dave will be leaving active duty in July and going back into the Marine Corps Reserves, drilling at a unit on Selfridge ANG Base. Dave's eleven year old daughter, Gabrielle resides in Chesterfield Township and he and his wife Erin have a daughter Emma who was born on May 20, 2008.
